Geelong Venom appoint Megan Moody as assistant coach

Geelong Venom has named Megan Moody as an assistant coach for the upcoming WNBL season.

Moody, recently crowned NBL1 South Coach of the Year after leading Geelong United’s women to a standout campaign, also serves as General Manager of Pathways at Geelong United Basketball, where she drives development opportunities for local athletes.

CEO Mark Neeld said her appointment was a natural progression: “She thrived in the NBL1 role, reignited her passion for coaching, and the players loved her. To now see her step into the WNBL is a terrific outcome for Megan and our community.”

Moody said the opportunity marked an important milestone: “That NBL1 season reignited my love for coaching, and now to contribute at the WNBL level is something I’m really proud of. It’s an exciting time for the club and for women’s basketball in Geelong.”
