Geelong Venom partners with Centuria to celebrate women's sport and community impact.
Geelong Venom is thrilled to announce a new partnership with ASX-listed Australasian real estate funds manager, Centuria Capital Group - a collaboration aimed at driving the growth of women’s sport and making a meaningful impact in the Geelong community.
As part of this partnership, Centuria will support the introduction of the Geelong Venom WNBL Community Impact Award, which will celebrate leadership, teamwork, and community spirit among players within the program. The award reflects a shared commitment to fostering positive role models, empowering women in sport, and strengthening the connection between the club and its community.
“Centuria’s support is incredibly exciting for Geelong Venom and the broader Geelong community,” said Connie Regan, General Manager of Partnerships and Marketing at Geelong United.
“This partnership allows us to recognise players who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community engagement, while also supporting the growth of women’s sport in our region. It’s about inspiring the next generation, both on and off the court.”
Mark Jones, Centuria’s General Manager of Victoria, added: “Centuria is proud to partner with Geelong Venom to celebrate and strengthen women’s sport and community leadership. We know the power sport has to bring people together, and we’re excited to support initiatives, like the WNBL Community Impact Award which make a tangible difference locally.”
Within Victoria alone, Centuria managed more than $3.6billion in commercial real estate and is a significant landlord within the Geelong community. Its long-term commitment to the community is reflected in support of sporting programs, such as the Geelong Venom, and other local projects. Through this partnership, Centuria continues its dedication to fostering opportunities that enhance participation, leadership, and engagement within the Geelong region.
The partnership between Geelong Venom and Centuria will also include broader initiatives to engage fans, support grassroots programs, and promote participation in women’s sport, reflecting a long-term commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive sporting community in Geelong.
